Reboot

It’s hard to believe we are almost halfway through 2022.  Time is flying by.  I am continuing to bring forward things in my life that I am grateful for and bring joy. High on my list is Mother Nature. Being outdoors in nature’s beauty refreshes my mind, body, and soul.

Bringing It Forward

Happy 2022!  It’s a new year – a time to think about the months ahead.  With uncertainty abounding it’s easy to languish. One way I am moving positively into the new year is by taking things I enjoyed in 2021 and bringing them forward.  A great joy last year for me was establishing a “Little Free Library”.  I get to share my passion for books and enhance neighborhood relationships.

A Time of Gratitude

Best Wishes for a happy and healthy  Thanksgiving.  A time to reflect on what we are grateful for and show appreciation to others.  Never underestimate the impact of a small act of kindness.

Peaceful Reflection

Take a moment for peaceful reflection on 2019.  It is important to take a pause before we enter the holiday season. For me, it was re-looking at my photos from a trip to Maine this Fall.  Recharging your batteries will help you to prepare for the joyful and emotional roller coaster ride.

Be Amazing Everyday

I read this tee-shirt and it made me smile: “Do Amazing Things.” To me, however, “Amazing” does not mean it has to be a mega-sized undertaking. We often psyche ourselves out before we even get started or diminish an accomplishment because it does not meet some huge measurement we have set in our mind.

My suggestion to be “Amazing” and to “be who you want to be” is to do things that are meaningful to you. Big or small, for yourself or others — being amazing to me means being true to yourself.

How are you being amazing?

Summer Re-Fresh

Summer is a time of fresh fruit, fresh veggies and fresh ideas. Everyday when I check the veggie garden I look for a new strawberry or to see if the tomatoes have ripen. I get excited watching the growth and change in color.

It has made me think about what fresh ideas I can bring to my life, work or play? How can I grow? Summer is a time for embracing the fresh air and a fresh perspective! Disclaimer: no fruit in photo is from my garden but a girl can dream😊

Create More Adventures

I recently went to a ‘Paint Night’ which to most folks would be viewed as a relaxing and fun activity, especially when you are with your daughter. To me, it created a bit of fear and unease.  The reasoning swirling in my head was “What are you doing here?  You are not an artist or not even very creative.”  The rational part of me thought “Really Lisa…  come on now, everyone can paint, just like everyone can sing. It really comes down to embracing imperfection.” This is so true. There is a quote by the artist Salvador Dali that says “Have no fear of perfection
